BREAKING NEWS! PASTNER TO TIGERS! WE HAVE A COACH!

According to cbssports.com and Commercial Appeal Josh Pastner is the new head coach of the University of Memphis Tigers. Pastner was on staff with Arizona for 6 years and was an elite recruiter. He also worked under Calipari at Memphis for a short time. By the way, he is only 30! A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday. So what do you think? Brilliant hire or another R.C. gaffe?

give him a couple of years and we'll see. i'm not going to hang the guy before he's given a chance. he's a great recruiter and has sat under cal.

he knows the players and the recruits. might help keep the players we got and possibly some of the recruits we got coming in.

i am excited. More to move on than anything but I am excited to get the young whipper snapper and see what he can do.

Hopefully he had a relationship with our recruits. If he can keep a few recruits and build from there he'll be a hero. Just hope hiring a rookie doesn't backfire. I'm impressed RC sacked up and is taking a chance on Pastner.

This could be a genius move or an epic failure. It will be fun to see how it plays out over the next few years.
