You heard it here first...
In a recent Facebook status update, Shawn Taggart all but declared his intentions to remain in the NBA draft. His exact words were "Willie,p,spoon, dmack,r.dot, white chocolate, and angle......... love yal niggas no homo but...... its ova wit...... yal hold it down ." and generated 17 comments in about 20 minutes, mostly positive, but a few that simply said "stupid decision". Now I understand we all want him to stay because he would be a tremendous help on the floor and give us veteran leadership, but we love Tag cause he is a Tiger and we ultimately want the best for him and if he feels like that is the NBA right now than we should support him no matter how much we do not want him to go.
UPDATE (3:00pm): New status... open for your interpretation.
"Lmao see how people act when u chase ur dream sad thing about it is I'm not leaving memphis........ lmao yal people make me sick to my stomach!!! See yal memphis madness! Fake memphis fans ..... to the loyal ones who wish me well thanks yall and I appreciate the support..... lets get it coach J!"
Not leaving Memphis?

Ummmmmmm... he said the "n" word.
I wonder if he just doesn't want to lose playing time or he's just ready to grate that cheese... or is it "make" that cheese?
Good to hear, Tag! CUSA CHAMPS! NCAA CHAMPS!
You guys missed two followup comments Tag left where he defended his comments. He talked about pursuing dreams like what Dorsey and CDR did and how fairly well they're doing in the NBA. He also stated that he in no means insulted Memphis or the fans, and clarified that he wasn't leaving because Calipari had left, but because he truly wanted to pursue that NBA dream. He also stated that love him or hate him [Coach Cal], he had connections in the NBA and thats what drew alot of people to him, including Taggart himself.
Finally, he also said he loves Memphis :)
We didnt miss them, just chose not to post them. Anyhow, Tag's heart and head are in the right place. All indications are he'll make whatever decision he is going to make for the right reason and on his own. Tiger Nation and The Tomb could not be more proud of him.
Best of luck to him regardless where he winds up. Thanks for the great job Tag, would like to see him stay a Tiger though.
