According to Zags, point guard Lamont "Momo" Jones has been granted his release from the drowning pool known as USC basketball. Memphis is reportedly in the running, along with Arizona and Florida.
Memphis would obviously be the best fit because we're awesome and we have the Plush Club. We also have a glaring vacancy at the point guard position and Momo would be a serious contender for the starting job.

Yes we would love to have him but at what cost. I think that we have all but been quaranteed that if there is no other point guard that joe jackson will be here and antoni barton would be his back up so I say stand pat unless momo is going to be another guard behind will barton
Interesting thought. Would Momo dissuade Jackson from coming here next year?
Momo shouldn't affect Will Barton's playing time. He's a shooter, not a point.

Anon, it was a direct quote from Taggart, as evidenced by the very next line, "Title credited to the former Tiger, facebook-status aficionado, Shawn Taggart."
I got that it was a direct quote. However, I think it was in bad taste for Taggart to use it, and it was in bad taste for this blog to repeat it. I truly enjoy reading this blog, I do, and I thank you for your work in bringing it to us Tiger fans, but I was very dissapointed to see that particular bit of homophobia when I loaded up my favorite Tiger fan blog. It's not cute or funny, it's just plain offensive.
My apologies... I like to rhyme and I think Tag quotes are hilarious. It wasn't homophobia, it was quote-a-philia. Plus, I love Momo in a way that is hetero. If someone loves him in a way that is homo, I am not judging.
Thank you for your apology, Jake. No hard feelings here. I hate to get offended when none is meant (for instance with the phrase "that's so gay" which I am guilty of myself, though I try to correct that), but I wasn't sure how to take this one. Admitedly, it's hard to guage intent over the internet sometimes. I still love The Tomb of Doom! Keep up the good work!
