Are you going to write a blog about how Tyreke Evans is nowhere near as good as his hype led us to believe? In fact, he's about as good as Clyde Wade. Most of Evans's points are fast break layups or dunks, which anyone can do. His shot is terrible. He brings the ball so far back, and the release process is so slow. In 3 games against soft opponents, he's 1-7 from behind the arc, and has a 0.84 assist-to-turnover ratio. What was glaring to me was yesterday against Southern Conference giant UT-Chattanooga Mocs, when Evans was tagged with 3 offensive fouls. These 3 charges were a result of out of control basketball. All he saw was the cylinder, and didn't even care that there were 2-3 Mocs standing in his way, feet set, unmoving. In fact, these fouls limited him to 20 minutes for the entire game. The other bothersome note is his inability to share the basketball on the fast break. Yesterday, Evans had a 2 on 1, with Doneal Mack left open. Instead of passing for the easy layup, Evans decides to take it to the hole and is the recipient of a foul. Too many times this happens, and too many times the Tigers come away with 0 or 1 point instead of 2. He needs to settle down, work on his shot, and realize that this isn't high school anymore. You're not bigger than everyone else anymore. He also needs to get smarter. I hope Coach Cal humbled the crap out of him after yesterday's horrible performance. Another start like that and the Tigers won't beat Seton Hall.

Agreed. Tyreke's play has been spotty. He needs to play smarter and kick it to guys who are having more consistent success.
